About Our Therapists
Jay Smith is not a new face to physical therapy or the Skagit Valley. Graduating from the University of Washington in 1976 he has been practicing in Washington State since. In 1979, Jay left the Seattle area and relocated to the north, accepting a position at the Skagit Valley Hospital. Twelve years and an MBA later Jay opened the doors of Evergreen Physical Therapy. Once the office established itself in the Skagit Valley, Jay went back to school. This time he was pursuing the Holy Grail of education, his Doctorate. Jay started in 2000, eight years later, he officially earned the initials DScPT (Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy), a more advanced form of the DPT (Doctorate of Physical Therapy) aimed at clinical proficiency. Not to be forgotten is that while earning his Doctorate, Jay also earned the initials, OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist), a very intensive examination of a clinicians knowledge and skills in the specialty of Orthopedics. Our only question for Jay is, “What’s next?”

Jackie Odell has practiced in the Skagit Valley since her graduation from the University of Washington, in 1979. She joined the Skagit Valley Hospital therapy staff and remained there, eventually becoming the director of Physical Therapy services. Jackie came to Evergreen Physical Therapy in 1991, after the birth of her second daughter. Her dedication to quality healthcare shows through each patient Jackie works with. That dedication is also apparent in her Care Connections statistics, that place her in the top 20% of therapists in the National Network. Jackie is currently pursuing a specialization in Vestibular Therapy (balance and mobility therapy).
Jeanette Lundberg began practicing in 1972 and joined the staff at the Skagit Valley Hospital in 1978. Her 30 years of experience have been spent treating patients in the Skagit Valley. Jeanette is an Aquatic Therapy Instructor and has run the pool sessions for Evergreen Physical Therapy at Riverside Health Club. Jeanette was working with Jay and Jackie at the hospital until their departures in the early 90’s. The three were soon reunited as Jeanette joined the staff at Evergreen Physical Therapy in 1993.
